1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Stay Sync ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit staysync.tech or interact with our pre-launch services.
The data controller is currently Daniele Sampieri, acting as a natural person pending the incorporation of Stay Sync as a legal entity. Contact: info@staysync.tech.
2. Data we collect
We collect only the personal data strictly necessary for the purposes described below:
- Email address — when you subscribe to our pre-launch newsletter.
- Finish preference — when you vote for a ring finish (Matte Black, Silver, Gold).
- Payment data — if you pre-reserve for €1, payment is processed entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Technical data — anonymous analytics such as device type, browser, and referring page, used to improve the site.
3. How we use your data
- To send you the pre-launch email sequence and Kickstarter launch updates.
- To manage your €1 pre-reservation, including refunds if the campaign does not reach its goal.
- To plan production based on aggregated finish preferences.
- To respond to your questions sent via email.
4. Legal basis
We process your data based on:
- Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), for newsletter and marketing communications.
- Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to manage your €1 pre-reservation.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), to maintain and improve the site.
5. Third-party services
We share data only with the following providers, strictly for the purposes above:
- Klaviyo — email marketing and customer journey automation.
- Stripe — payment processing for €1 pre-reservations.
- Vercel — website hosting.
- Microsoft 365 — corporate email infrastructure.
All providers act as data processors under their own GDPR-compliant agreements.
6. Data retention
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Pre-reservation records are kept for the duration legally required for tax and accounting purposes (10 years under Italian law). Anonymous analytics are aggregated and not linked to identifiable individuals.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion.
- Object to processing or withdraw your consent at any time.
- Request data portability.
- Lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).

8. Cookies
Our site uses only strictly necessary cookies for basic functionality. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will request your consent through a cookie banner.
9. Data transfers
Some of our providers (Klaviyo, Stripe, Vercel) are based outside the European Economic Area. Transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated by email or notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect.
